Mansour Automotive Company, Opel's exclusive agent in Egypt, unveiled the latest models of the renowned Opel Corsa, Germany's leading class.

The youthful and modern car offers its customers a true driving experience with brand new features, an exceptionally dynamic and bold exterior, and a distinctive interior design. Opel’s new Corsa boasts onboard technology and dazzling amenities, with a 1.2 turbocharged engine, an automated six-speed gearbox, and 130 hp. It puts out 230 Nm of torque, taking the new 4.06-meter-long Opel Corsa from 0-100km/h in 8.7 seconds, with average fuel consumption of 4.6 liters and a tank capacity of 44 liters, and the tire base is 2.5 meters, the weight of the car without load is 1158 kg, the total weight of the cargo is 1650 kg, and the storage box capacity is 309 liters.

Other unrivaled features of the new model include six airbags, an anti-lock braking system (ABS), and an electronic brake-force distribution program (EBD) according to weight, an electronic stability program (ESP), and a lane departure warning system (LDWS). It also features a road sign recognition, speed recommendation system, and active safety brakes. 

The model also sports a speed sensor, power door lock, and remote control, as well as a tire pressure monitoring, and a mirror inside light sensitive. Opel Corsa also offers auto power windows, electric adjustable and foldable mirrors, LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, LED front fog lamps, 17 dual-tone alloy wheels, black rooftop and mirrors, and light sensor and rain sensor

With a 1.96 width and a 1.43 height, the new Corsa has a panoramic rearview camera, front and rear parking sensors, and privacy glass. Corsa also comes with a rear spoiler, tiltable and telescopic steering wheel, as well as a front armrest, and speed-sensitive electric power steering automatic; it also features Apple Car Play, Android Auto, Radio, USB, cloth seats, data display, and six speakers, 60/40 folding rear seats.

Cairo –23 June 2021: In presence of Eng. Adel Khadel, Group CEO, Ankush Arora, Company’s COO & Hany Megahed, Body & Paint Manager, Mansour Automotive Company has inaugurated one of the largest body and paint facility in the industrial area of Abu Rawash, with investments worth more than EGP 150m. The new facility is part of the company’s plan to develop and expand its services network of sales, maintenance, and service centers, with more than 100 centers across the country. With the latest technologies and after-sales quality service, the center is set to change the scene of body and paint facilities in Egypt.

In 2017, Mansour Automotive announced its 5 years investment plan with more than EGP 800m for enhancing and expanding sales and after sale service facilities. This plan was set to initiate a series of projects to enhance customer experience in the country and ensure continuous growth of the company’s portfolio of services in the long term.

The flagship center spans over an approximate area of 11,000 sqm, including offices of 15 insurance companies – out of a total of 19 in Egypt – In addition, insurance inspectors for preferred companies will be present to reduce waiting time for pre and post inspections, offering 360 degree service to customers.

The facility’s workforce reaches up to 120 staff member and is fully equipped with the latest automotive technologies, along with an independent entity built solely to train technicians and engineers on body repair and painting. This is in addition to a host of technical specialized knowledge sharing through a lecture auditorium and an integrated automotive technical library. The center hosts a state of the art paint factory, and a welding workshop to ensure fine automotive technologies are applied in every framework of the center’s capabilities. Moreover, the facility introduced a colossal luxury break area for clients, with all forms of comfort to make their experience one-of-a-kind as they await their services to be completed.

 

“The opening of the new facility is a significant milestone for Mansour Automotive Company to deliver the best quality of customer care and after-sales services to our clients,” Group CEO Adel Khadr stated. He continued with Mansour's motto, "You are in safe hands," asserting that it always confirmed the true value of the company's customer service, adding, "The new facility has huge production capabilities of a factory."

With a capacity of 68 bays, the facility can supply 30 cars daily whilst the workshop has four manufacturing lines, two of which are for light repairs and have a maximum completion rate of two days. It was outfitted with the high-end equipment, such as dry central sanders and IR dryers, to reduce repair time while separating the repair procedures into sequential stages, with each car line coming out every hour and a half

The other two lines are for medium repairs with completion rate of 3-6 days. It is equipped with all of the cutting-edge technology required to perform all repairs with high quality, such as two car chassis straightening devices, two electronic car chassis measuring devices, and welding machines of various types, as well as the necessary safety tools for technicians during repair.

It also has two separate manufacturing lines for the paint phases, with the mechanical and electrical repairs separated from the paint owing to the varied repair durations for each care, which is a new trend in body and paint repair centers across the world for manufacturing lines.

 

Mansour Automotive Company was eager to provide the light truck workshop with the most up-to-date equipment for high-quality vehicle repairs, such as wheel alignment, an automatic tyre changer, and a chassis straightener capable of straightening the chassis of three cars at the same time. The gadget has built-in measurement units to assure the quality and speed of repairs. Furthermore, a variety of welding machines, paint preparation units suited for light truck or passenger vehicles, and two paint booths, one for passenger cars and the other for light trucks, are available, as are the essential safety tools for technical colleagues during the repair.

Furthermore, Mansour Automotive has provided the new center with a workshop for heavy accidents, which is designed to accommodate Jumbo truck with its box, and the line has been expanded with a 9-meter-deep furnace.


The new facility comprises a two-story warehouse spanning 1500 sqm for body and paint repairs equipment which includes about 2,000 line items to meet the demands of the service center as quickly as possible, for all Mansour Automotive brands such as Chevrolet, Opel, MG, and Peugeot.

The new center operates on the SAP system, which connects all departments in an orderly and efficient manner to give the required information and data to the customer reception department and the Insurance Department on a constant basis in order to ease automobile repairing operations. All other variables, such as the compressed air line and the intensity of illumination for each section, were evaluated throughout the design and construction of the facility. It was also outfitted with PDR cold plumbing technology, a novel European method of responding to shocks and clicks without the need to paint.

Cairo - 5, July 2021: Mansour Automotive Company, one of the largest General Motors dealerships in the world, has announced the appointment of Ankush Arora, the company’s Director of Operations, as the new Chief Executive Officer of Mansour Automotive Company, effective July 1st 2021

The appointment follows the stepping down of Adel Khadr from his post as CEO, who opted to retire after record-long tenure with Mansour Automotive Company for 46 years, 27 years of which he served as the CEO where he exerted unrivaled efforts that helped to keep Mansour name high and was geared to serve both the community and consumers.

Mr. Ankush Arora, a Mechanical Engineer from India's Thapar Institute of Engineering, is an automotive expert with over 30 years of expertise in the automotive sector, covering commercial aspects, corporate strategy, and manufacturing planning, as well as past business experience in different disciplines of the automotive industry across the world.

Arora joined Mansour Automotive Company, in June 2014, as Group Chief Operating Officer (COO). Under his leadership, Mansour developed markedly over four years and was able to include additional companies in the Group, including Peugeot, MG Brand in Egypt, and “Hero” Motorcycles in Uganda, as well as the growth of its distribution base in Sub-Sahara Africa.

Prior to his employment in Egypt, Arora worked for Tata Motors Limited in Mumbai, India, as a dual-duty bearer Vice President - Head of Corporate Strategy and Head of Sales, Service, and Marketing for the Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, and was a member of the Executive Committee. Arora worked with General Motors in India, Singapore, Shanghai, and South Korea for 18 years from 1997 and served as the Vice President, sales, service, and marketing in both local and export markets for General Motors South Korea.

He was credited with the Chevrolet Brand's debut in Korea in 2011, laying a solid foundation for the new brand's success and development. During his tenure at GM Korea, worldwide sales of CBU and CKD reached record highs in 2012.

Arora was the Head of GM India's commercial operations, and under his guidance, sales peaked in 2010. That same year, he was named one of India's top 100 brand builders by the Economic Times of India, the country's leading business daily newspaper. He also led Toyota's Bahwan Automobile Center for six years and was named Best Global Sales Executive in 1992.

Cairo - 15th of April 2020:

Eng. Mohamed Lotfy Mansour, Chairman of Mansour Automotive Group, stated that this exceptional period requires that all individuals, the business sector and civil society organizations should stand together to contribute to the efforts exerted by the Egyptian government at various levels, to combat the spread of (Covid-19) Coronavirus in Egypt.

Integrating with the efforts exerted by the government to face the crisis, Eng. Mohamed Lotfy Mansour announced that Mansour Automotive Group is donating 50 million EGP to the Ministry of Health and Population. This contribution will be used for providing personal protection equipment for members of medical and health teams, while offering care and treatment to infected patients. This is in addition to ventilators and any other medical equipment or supplies according to the priorities of the ministry of health in countering the novel Coronavirus.

Eng. Mohamed Lotfy Mansour added that the contemporary human history hasn't witnessed a crisis of this magnitude worldwide. The Egyptian government has not spared any efforts in taking precautionary and pre-emptive measures and procedures and sacrifices in order to contain the risks of this global pandemic.

Mansour praised the decisions taken by the political leadership of Egypt to combat the spread of Coronavirus. This is in addition to number of important economic decisions that aim to limit the impact of this crisis on various sectors in Egypt. Mansour asserted that Egypt's professionalism in dealing with the situation and the preventive measures taken from the beginning of the crisis reduced the spread of the virus. This prompted several international organizations, including WHO, to praise the role played by the Egyptian government in this regard.

The Chairman of Mansour Automotive Group called upon all Egyptians to abide by all the preventive procedures proposed by the government. He added that Egyptians should take all these measures quite seriously to reduce the spread of this fierce virus; in order to avoid risks that we are dispensable of.

Mansour Automotive launched new services to help its clients carry out maintenance services fully safely without the need to go to services' centers. This is to assist the clients to save their time and efforts

 

The "maintenance at your location" service, is for Opel and Chevrolet clients, models produced in 2014, or afterwards, for nominal fees of 100 EGP to be added to the final receipt.  

Maintenance works included in the "maintenance at home" service are changing engine oil, changing and cleaning the filters, reviewing the fluids' levels in the car.

 

The service is provided all week days including Friday.

 

The services also include changing the brake linings or air filters. The cost of the service and the spare parts would be added to the final receipt of the client. 

 

Clients who wish to benefit from "the maintenance at home" service should call the contact center at 01094957111 and request the service. A specialized engineer and  technician with a car equipped with an air compressor,  an oil suction machine, and all the requirements of a quick maintenance would arrive at the client's home within 48 hours.

The services include maintenance engineers would carry out quick maintenance services for the clients who face breakdowns on the road. If the breakdown requires the transfer of the car to one of the authorized service centers, we would be providing winches to transfer the car to the closest center.
